Fan Lake Bird Walk with Jenny Emerson

  • 852 Fan Lake Road West Deer Park, WA, 99006 United States (map)

Join Jenny Emerson and Wanda Peters for a short bird walk to put some of your new knowledge from Wanda Peters’ April 18th presentation to work. If you have your own binoculars, please bring them. Otherwise, we may be able to provide binoculars for you to use.

The location is Camp Reed at Fan Lake. We will look for ducks and geese on the lake, blackbirds, sparrows, warblers and wrens in the marsh, and both migrant and resident songbirds in the woods. It’s also likely that we will see Bald Eagles and Osprey, and possibly other raptors. Click here for directions.

Please let Jenny know you are coming and also whether or not you will need binoculars. The weather can always change, so bring layers and some water for your walk.

Please email Jenny at jemrsn55@gmail.com if you are interested in participating or need more information. Attendance is limited to 10 participants, and please note that first priority is for those who attend the “Introduction to Birding” talk given by Wanda Peters on the 18th at the Deer Park Library. If you want to participate in the bird walk but not the talk on the 18th, please email Jenny to see if the walk is full and/or to get on a waiting list.
