Meet other bird and nature lovers at Plese Flats on the Spokane River in Riverside State Park where you can enjoy a seated view of possible Mergansers, Belted Kingfishers, Ravens , Warblers and more. Walking and standing are optional.
This will be a relaxed, beginner-friendly bird walk around Bear Lake Regional Park in Chattaroy, WA, covering approximately 1.2 miles at a slow, observational pace. The trail is mostly flat and follows a paved ADA-accessible pathway. Bear Lake offers a diverse mix of habitats, so we will likely encounter a variety of bird species.
This is an easy walk along flat trails although in some years the water level can be high enough to limit where we can walk. A spotting scope will be available as well as binoculars for those who need a pair. 12 people maximum.

Waikiki Springs is a lovely area managed by the Inland Northwest Land Conservancy. The Little Spokane River flows through it. There are firs on the north facing slope and Pine on the south facing slope and a varied habitat between. This trip is suitable for all levels of birders.
Join Madonna Luers and Woody Myers this Spring to watch the procession of migrating species at Reardan Audubon Lake Wildlife Area just outside the town of Reardan in Lincoln County, just west of Spokane.
The Hutton Settlementis a children’s resettlement campus located on 319 acres of partially forested land in Spokane Valley. Join us for this unique opportunity to look for birds, learn what the staff and young residents are doing to care for the land, and try some coffee from the resident run HOPE roasters.
Join Spokane Audubon Society and Pheasants Forever in helping to restore this critically important bird habitat area lost to fires in 2022.
Spokane Audubon Society is partnering with the Inland Northwest Land Conservancy (INLC) to co-lead walks on the Glen Tana Property. Walks will be led by INLC docent and birder Brenda Day and a Spokane Audubon volunteer.

The pace will be suitable for all ages, and the emphasis of this adventure is fun!

We will walk the Stubblefield Trail and hook up with the Pine Lakes Loop Trail. This walk takes about 2 or 3 hours, but you are welcome to leave early.

Join the Spokane Audubon Society and Dishman Hills Conservancy (DHC) for an exclusive opportunity to visit the Wilson Conservation area portion of the DHC. The Wilson Conservation area is not currently open to the public and participation is limited to 12 guests. The trailhead is located off of the Palouse Hwy at the end of Willow Springs road.

Join experienced kayaker and birder Carrie Dugovic on a combined canoe/kayak and birding trip that offers a unique opportunity to view birds from the water. This will be an approximately four-hour canoe/kayak on the Little Spokane River from the St. George’s put-in to the 9-mile takeout.
