Visit Wishing Tree Books at 1410 E. 11th Ave, Spokane WA, 99202 for an afternoon exploring the science and scientists of bird migration with author Rebecca Heisman! Bird watchers and nature enthusiasts of all ages are welcome to hear the story behind the story of migration. There will be bird-nerding and it will be awesome.

Weather permitting, this event will take place on Wishing Tree’s lovely back patio, so feel free to bring a picnic blanket or camp chair to sit on the lawn.
 

Flight Paths is a delight, and the ground-breaking bird migration scientists whom Rebecca Heisman profiles in this fascinating book are a wonderfully unconventional lot. Heisman is the ideal guide their world — curious, chatty, and adept at making sometimes complex research easily understandable. I can’t recommend it highly enough.
