Slavin Conservation Area Birding Hike

  • Slavin Conservation Area 12900 South Keeney Road Spokane, WA, 99224 United States (map)

Please join volunteer hike docent Liz Melville and birding expert Alan McCoy from Spokane Audubon Society on Tuesday, June 17th, for a hike around Slavin Conservation Area, where the wetlands and lakes entice native and migratory birds to rest and nest.

This birding hike will be between 5 and 6 miles long, taking approximately 3 hours to complete, depending on the group’s pace. The hike will start at 6:30 am, as early morning is the best time for viewing birds at the Salvin Conservation Area. Since this is a birding hike, dogs will not be allowed. Thanks for understanding!

Bring binoculars if you have them, hiking boots, and your curiosity!

Registration: Inland Northwest Land Conservancy
