The Hutton Settlement is a children’s resettlement campus located on 319 acres of partially forested land in Spokane Valley. With a strong culture of conservation and land stewardship, the campus is home to ponderosa pine forest, grassland, a permaculture garden, and a youth-led sustainable coffee roaster. Spokane Audubon has partnered with the Hutton Settlement for bird surveys, our kestrel program, and, most recently, a bluebird box installation. Join us for this unique opportunity to look for birds, learn what the staff and young residents are doing to care for the land, and try some coffee from the resident run HOPE roasters.
