This will be a relaxed, beginner-friendly bird walk around Bear Lake Regional Park in Chattaroy, WA, covering approximately 1.2 miles at a slow, observational pace. The trail is mostly flat and follows a paved ADA-accessible pathway. Bear Lake offers a diverse mix of habitats, so we will likely encounter a variety of bird species.

This is an easy walk along flat trails although in some years the water level can be high enough to limit where we can walk. A spotting scope will be available as well as binoculars for those who need a pair.  12 people maximum.

Waikiki Springs is a lovely area managed by the Inland Northwest Land Conservancy. The Little Spokane River flows through it. There are firs on the north facing slope and Pine on the south facing slope and a varied habitat between. This trip is suitable for all levels of birders.

Join us in a guided bird walk at Medical Lake, followed by an opportunity for socializing at Roam Coffee. Led by Jim and Bea Harrison, this walk will take place along a mostly level, paved trail covering approximately two miles roundtrip, with benches available intermittently for rest.
