This will be a relaxed, beginner-friendly bird walk around Bear Lake Regional Park in Chattaroy, WA, covering approximately 1.2 miles at a slow, observational pace. The trail is mostly flat and follows a paved ADA-accessible pathway. Bear Lake offers a diverse mix of habitats, so we will likely encounter a variety of bird species.

Turnbull NWR Child-Friendly Bird Walk

Join Richard and Sandy Sollie, along with their 7-year-old granddaughter, on a child-friendly walk through Turnbull Wildlife Refuge. Get a bit of exercise and enjoy a relaxed introduction to birding as we walk the Pine Lakes route and the hiking trails near the Wildlife Refuge’s Headquarters.
