We’ve always known our Save-A-Bird Team does outstanding work.
But when Spokane Audubon Society (SAS) Vice President Lisa Langelier recently heard back from the National Audubon Society (NAS) that our chapter’s required Annual Report was accepted, she also received compliments for our Save-A-Bird Team.
Jessica Hoey, NAS Vice President of Conservation Action and Chapters in New York said this:
“Congratulations on advancing community science through your chapter’s Save-a-Bird program! I am impressed with the number of veterinarians, volunteers, and other partners your chapter has engaged in this work, which sounds ever important given many factors you mentioned such as climate change and lack of rehab facilities in eastern Washington.
Your work empowers people across the hemisphere to collect critical bird data that informs conservation, strengthens advocacy, and drives progress toward Audubon’s Flight Plan goals.”
Congratulations and thanks to current Save-A-Bird team members Mike Borysewicz, Margo Wolf, Nan Berger, Bea and Jim Harrison, Sara Callan-Boggs, Chris Lane, Georgina De La Garza, and Joyce Alonso.
You make our chapter shine!
