Peggy O’Connell and Joe Cooney joined the Spokane Audubon Society (SAS) Board of Directors with a unanimous vote of members attending the May 14 meeting. Board members Gary Lee, Bea Harrison, Jim Harrison and Mike Borysewicz, along with officers Alan McCoy (president), Lisa Langelier (vice-president), Jenny Emerson (treasurer), and Madonna Luers (secretary), also received approval by vote to continue serving. Last month the board bid farewell to retiring board members Marlene Cashen and Bob Cashen, who served since 2012. A profile of new board member, Peggy O’Connell, is on page 10 of this newsletter.
