Join the Land’s Council and Spokane Audubon Society at Turnbull National Wildlife Refuge for the annual Earth Fest event.

Volunteers can participate in three activities: seedling potting, fence removal, and tree thinning to support wildfire defense and forest health. Jack Nisbet will be the keynote speaker, sharing insights on the history of fire on the landscape, particularly its role as a cultural practice, and will be available for a book signing.

Several partner organizations and agencies will have outreach tables, and lunch will be provided.

When: Saturday, April 25th 9:00-1:00

Where: Turnbull National Wildlife Refuge (26010 S Smith Rd, Cheney, WA 99004)

Who: Families, individuals, and groups of all ages are welcome!

What to bring: Please bring your own gloves and water bottle to stay comfortable throughout the day.
