This will be a relaxed, beginner-friendly bird walk around Bear Lake Regional Park, covering approximately 1.2 miles at a slow, observational pace. The trail is mostly flat and follows a paved ADA-accessible pathway, making it suitable for a wide range of participants.
We’ll take our time stopping along the way to listen for birds, observe behavior, and enjoy the natural surroundings. Optional shorter spur trails may be included depending on group interest and time. Bear Lake offers a diverse mix of habitats, so we will likely encounter a variety of bird species.
This walk is ideal for beginners as well as those with some birding experience who want a calm, low-pressure outing. No prior experience is needed, just curiosity and a willingness to slow down and notice nature.
Free parking is available at the park, with approximately 175 spaces. We will meet at 8:00am at the main parking lot as you enter the park (SE corner of the lake).
